Anjan Dasgupta is a Finance and Banking expert now heading ASA International India Microfinance Limited (ASAI India) as Managing Director. Career Record as a result oriented Banker with proven success in managing large Co-operative Banks. His successful career has seen the quick revival and achieving sustainability in more than one financially troubled Co-operative Bank.

As Managing Director of an Urban Bank in Sikkim, innovated banking to include Micro-finance, livelihood development schemes and financial inclusion. The projects identified as model schemes by Reserve Bank of India and highlighted in the report of RBI's committee for Financial Inclusion in the North East. The schemes recommended by RBI to other Banks for replication. The RBI's license to Small Payment Bank is a validation of the strategy and schemes adopted by him as early as 2005.

He has a successful record of transforming a start-up Society in Bihar engaged in Microfinance into a NBFC.In a span of one year scaled-up to achieve the status of largest "Bihar State Grown" MFI.He was successful in bringing sizable international equity investment for this start-up MFI at a sizable premium.

He has successfully led the present organization out of crisis linked to the Microfinance Sector in 2011 to achieve responsible growth and profitability thereafter. Known for his very successful strategy that combines social initiatives with business, he has been successfully implementing this throughout his career.

Anjan Dasgupta participates in expert panels and as speaker in various events. He contributes articles to media and newspapers. Articles on Microfinance andDevelopment Finance have been published by leading newspapers and magazines.

He is invited to various Government, NGOs and Universities as resource person todeliver talk on Banking, Livelihood promotion, Finance, Consumer Rights, Microfinance, and Digital Finance.

He actively participates as Board member of Industry Federation and is/has been in committees of Banking and Microfinance federation.
